POKORNY, DR. Edward “Ted” Age 33 of Woodbury Passed away on March 28, 2018 Graduated from Hill-Murray High School in 2002, University of St. Thomas in 2006 and achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor when he graduated from DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee. Ted worked as a resident at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St Paul and then as a Hospitalist at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood. He was loved and cared for by many with his ever-present smile and deep love of those around him. Ted was a faith-filled man of vast talents, skills and interests. He is missed by many including the love of his life; the beautiful, kind, and gentle Dr. Gretchen Vanden Berg, parents: Mary and Rick, brother Alex, grandparents, family and friends, and his patients. Mass of Christian Burial Friday (4/6) at 12 PM at the CHURCH OF ST PETER, 2600 N. MARGARET ST., NORTH ST. PAUL, MN. Visitation Thursday (4/5) from 4-7PM at Church and 1 hour prior to Mass on Friday. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in North St. Paul. Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice.
