Glen Arthur Stahnke
February 26, 1958 — April 16, 2026
Glen Arthur Stahnke, 68, of Woodbury, MN passed away April 16, 2026.
Glen Stahnke was born and raised in St. Paul MN by his parents Eugene and Jean. Eugene helped out with the Stahnke family stucco business and taught Glen some of the fundamentals of working with his hands. Glen would go on to develop a deep passion for fixing up and modifying cars. He loved the sound of raw horsepower more than he appreciated the styles and colors of cars. Ironically, he would go on to study auto body work. Wherever Glen went it was easy for him to make fast friends, he always made sure to treat people with respect and was always curious about their stories. He would ask people questions in a way that made them feel welcome and in return people respected him and wanted to spend time with him. He especially loved his wife, Julie and the collection of friends they had. They would spend time boating on the river, going to various cabins or resorts and would often be found bellied up to the bar laughing and having a good time. What made Glen special was his undying love for his family, his devotion to people, his creativity fixing things with his hands, his ability to let loose and have a good time. When Julie passed in 2018 many were devastated, but Glen kept his head high even when the grieving was most difficult. In the years since, Glen had lost a number of close friends and had to undergo an extensive amount of medical treatments, doctor appointments, scans, evaluations and everything in between. All the while his attitude, his optimism, his desire to crack a joke and make people smile never left him. He was one of a kind and his absence will be felt by many. Glen is preceded in death by his wife Julie and his parents Eugene and Jean. He is survived by his son Josh (Saresa), his sister Aprile (Dave) and his brother-in-law Ross (Renee).
