MARGARET A. SCHROEDL, age 89 of Jefferson passed away Saturday February 13, 2016 at the Jefferson Memory Care. She was born on July 6, 1926 to Henry and Anna (Motl) Riedl. She married Herbert Schroedl on November 9, 1946 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She took pride in her home. She enjoyed painting, cake decorating, camping, playing cards and bowling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic parishes. She is survived by her husband Herbert of Jefferson. Children Thomas (Margaret) Schroedl of Fort Atkinson, John (Linda) Schroedl of Jefferson. Barbara (Gary) Schenck of Fort Atkinson, Steven (Mary) Schroedl of Fort Atkinson, Linda (Mark) Schopen of Jefferson, Andrew Schroedl of Fort Atkinson, Debra (Steven) Kinateder of Helenville. Grandchildren Troy (Kara Sample) Schroedl, Tracy (Todd) Gray, Angela (John) Yerges, Jennifer (Jeffery) Kawleski, Nicholas (Shelly) Schroedl, Jody (Daniel) Klein, Jason (Tammie) Schenck, Valerie Schroedl, Dustin (Ashleigh) Schopen, Darin (Alaina Holtmeier) Schopen, Cory Schroedl, Amber Schroedl, Jacob Schroedl, Lucas (Lindsay Wolter) Kinateder, Emily Kinateder. 18 great grandchildren, sister in law Lorraine Riedl Brother-in-laws; Paul (Agnes) Schroedl of Jefferson, Edward (Jean) Schroedl of Jefferson, Sister-in-laws; Dorothy Vogel of Jefferson, Susie (Vern) Hoffman of Mercer, Lucille Schroedl of Fort Atkinson. She is preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons William and Jerome. Six brothers Edwin, Norbert, Clarence, Merlin, Leon and Sylvester Riedl. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday February 16, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Those wishing to give memorials in Margaret's name may direct them to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Schneider-Michaelis funeral home is assisting the family.
