Maurice Henry "Hank" Treat

Maurice “Hank” Treat, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in New Plymouth, Idaho, on November 27, 2025.

Hank loved round dancing, square dancing, riding quads, spending time at the shooting range and talking about his vintage tools. He also loved sharing stories from his life, especially when looking through old family photo albums and recalling the memories attached to each picture.

One of the greatest gifts of Hank’s later years was reconnecting with his daughter, Kimmie. Over the last 13 years, they built a close and meaningful relationship filled with laughter, stories, shared adventures, and a deep appreciation for one another. Hank often told both friends from church and friends outside of church that his daughter was the absolute joy of his life.

Though his life was not always an easy one, Hank will be remembered with love, tenderness, dignity, and respect. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The Treat/GIlbert family will hold a private ceremony to honor Hank at a later date.
