Ritchie Lyn Donner

Passed away on May 17, 2026, at home. He was born on July 24, 1956, in Long Beach, CA to Dale and Alice Donner, moved to Rupert Idaho when he was 6 years old.

Ritchie grew up in Rupert & graduated from Minico High in 1974, before accepting football scholarships from Snow College in Ephraim, UT and Eastern Montana College (now called Montana State University) Ritchie enjoyed all sports and always excelled at each one.

He worked in the Lumber industry for Chandler Supply in Meridian and moved up to the trading floor in the Boise office in the late 70’s early 80’s.

He later worked for TCT, driving flatbed and later dispatch. After working for various trucking companies, he landed his favorite job at Northwest Petroleum working for the Shepherd family. They were later purchased by Jackson Energy, where he retired shortly after.

Since retirement Ritchie loved golfing with his friends, fishing and spending time with his kids and grandkids, as well as his newest great grand baby Salem. Ritch and Kim would spend many happy times at their property on West Mountain in Cascade, going out on the Jeep trail with the kids or spending time roasting marshmallows by the campfire.

Survivors include his wife Kim, daughters Shea Lyn Pollard (Larry), Kimmie Gilliam (John), Emily Donner (Tom Hansen), Chelsea Donner and Hannah Haws (Nick).  

Grandchildren; Hunter, Sydnee, Lucy, Jaxyn, Aiden, Kalder, Hunter, Remington, Makayla and great grand baby Salem.

Nieces and nephews Kris Donner (Mina), Kylie Jo Pope (Jeremiah). Brandy jo Charlo(Phillip), Mataya Taylor and Todd Taylor(Kristy).

Too many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins to list.

He was preceded in death by his father Dale Donner, stepfather Alvin Keller, grand parents Clarence and Wilma Bluemer, grand mother Elva Bluemer and grandma & Grandpa Donner. Brother In-law Marv (JR) Taylor, as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday May 30th, at 3:00 – 6:00 at our big white barn, 5805 Denver Rd, New Plymouth, ID 83655. Food will be sHe was formerly from Meridian and raised in Rupert, ID. A remembrance celebration will be held Saturday May 30, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Donner home located at 5805 Denver Rd, New Plymouth, ID 83655, Everyone who knew Ritchie is invited to a Luncheon to share in his life. Please RSVP to accommodate the luncheon menu.
