Cassandra E. Campbell
August 14, 1952 — June 7, 2026
Cassandra E. Campbell of Okatie, South Carolina (SC), passed away on June 7, 2026. She was a beloved mother, family member, friend, and source of strength to all who knew her.
Born on August 14, 1952, in Ridgeland, SC, to Cleo A. Campbell and Samuel E. Campbell, Cassandra knew she wanted to be an educator. She graduated from Jasper High School and went on to attend college at Savannah State University, where she studied Early Childhood Education.
Her 50-year career in education included serving as a volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of the Lowcountry, educating young girls in under-resourced schools through Girl Scouts of America, was a life-long Girl Scout, taught pre-kindergarten in Bluffton, SC for 22 years, and inspired an entire community by sharing the importance of reading, as a Children's Librarian through the Beaufort County Public Library on Hilton Head Island, SC.
Cassandra enjoyed listening to gospel music, playing the piano, singing, and visiting Aiken, SC. She took pride in taking care of herself by going to the gym and engaging in various wellness activities. She loved the Lowcountry and always wanted to be close to home.
To celebrate her legacy, Cassandra is survived by her loving daughter, Juanita Annette Campbell (Aiken, SC); niece, Marguerite Serena Campbell (Reisterstown, MD); nephew, Ronald Edward Campbell, Jr. (Clover, SC); and eldest cousin, Paul Logan (Pineland, SC).
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please prepare for the celebration of life by purchasing a children's book. Further instructions will be provided by the family.
