Angela Gay Vanoy, 76, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, Gerald Vanoy, and two sons, Curtis and Brian Vanoy, as well as, her two daughter-in-laws: Denise Vanoy and Angel Vanoy.

Born in Liberty, Kentucky, Angela was the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Peavey. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Peavey, mother, Catherine Peavey; father-in-law, Ancil Vanoy; mother-in-law, Evelyn; niece, Mendy (Vanoy) Coleman as well as her late daughter-in-law: Nicole Vanoy.

Angela dedicated many years of her professional life to serving as a court reporter in the LowCountry of South Carolina and prior to moving to Summerville in 1994; she served on staff at the Kentucky School of the Deaf in Danville, Kentucky. She enjoyed many activities such as collecting antiques, crocheting, golfing, being outdoors and spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains with her loving family.

Angela is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gerald Vanoy, and her two sons, Curtis Vanoy and his wife, Denise; Brian Vanoy and his wife, Angel, as well as her grandchildren: Shelby, Katie, Josh, Hunter, Braedon, Kaylee, Austin and Tyler; great grandchildren: Reagan, Maddie, Killian, Geillis, Matthew, Stephen, Ezra, Carson, Logan and Dalten; brother-in-law, Jeff Vanoy, sister-in-laws, Cynthia Vanoy and Sandy Porter, as well as nephew and niece, Doug and Tracy Porter.

At the family's request, no formal services will be held at this time.
