Beverly Gaye Shaffer

Beverly Gaye Shaffer, 74, of North Charleston, S.C., passed away on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Beverly was known for her deep love, her unwavering dedication to her family, and her remarkable strength. A breast cancer survivor, she brought joy, kindness, and quiet resilience to everyone who knew her. Born on May 19, 1951, in Florida, Beverly lived a life centered on family and service. She worked for S&S Cafeterias in Charleston, S.C., for 37years, forming friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was also a member of FRA Unit 269.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul T. March Jr.; her mother, Wilma Turner March; and her brother, Paul T. March III. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Krystal (Edward), and her three grandsons — Collin, Cameron, and Alex Evans of Summerville,S.C. She is also survived by her siblings: Brenda Hiers (Bill) of Ladson,S.C.; Gale Nathan (Nate) of Summerville, S.C.; and David March of Summerville, S.C.; her sister‐in‐law, Barbara March of Washington State; her longtime companion, Marvin President; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A celebration of her life will be held on May 23, 2026, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. and a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Holmes Avenue Baptist Church, 4602 Durant Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405.Guests are invited to wear vibrant colors in her honor — especially pink, purple, and green, her favorites.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation or Operation Christmas Child at Holmes Avenue Baptist Church.
