Carolyn Louise Phelps Cloud

Carolyn Louise Phelps Cloud , 80, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born in Wellsville, NY on September 15, 1945. She was a daughter of the late Vrooman James Phelps and Ardys Louise Phelps. She was a faithful member of Ruffin Baptist Church for over 20 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher, church clerk, filled in as hostess, and sang in the choir on special occasions. Carolyn had a fantastic sense of humor and a desire to always serve others. She loved working outside in the yard and loved her dog, cat and her chickens, who were all spoiled. Most of all she was a devoted mother and deeply loved her family.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Cloud; her mother and father and her brother, Vaughn Phelps. She is survived by her sister Audrey Chouffi, daughters Laura Hayes (Michael) Cynthia Jeffrey (Stephen), son Roy Cloud, grandchildren, Kaela Brinson (Billy), Thomas Cloud (Maddie), Aaron Hayes (Lauren), Matthew Cloud, Corban Jeffrey and Olivia Jeffrey, great grandchildren Lilly and Lee Brinson, Mallory Cloud, Delilah Hayes, Waylon Hayes as well as nieces Andrea Chouffi Pike and Lisa Chouffi and nephews Greg Chouffi and Anthony Chouffi.
