In Loving Memory of Gail Chesser Chaplin

Gail Chesser Chaplin, 71 of Ravenel passed away peacefully on June 13th surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 18th 1955 in Charleston to Charles Grady and Clariece Owens Chesser. Throughout her life she was known for her giving heart and kindness.

Gail had a love for music, dancing and always had an open kitchen. She touched countless lives with her warm smile, caring heart and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed.

Gail will be greatly missed by her twin daughters Linda Rae (Chris) Cleland and Glenda Lou (TL) Garvin; grandchildren, Tristen Koontz (Kyle), Abigail Garvin, Luke Garvin; great grand, Hudson Koontz; Brothers, Chuck (Denise) Chesser, Eric Chesser, Keith Chesser.

Gail was predeceased by her husband, Glenn (Bubba) Chaplin. 

The family will receive friends 3:00 pm on Thursday June 18, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Ravenel. Funeral services will begin at 3:30 pm and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
