Janet Yannone Burnsed

Janet Yannone Burnsed, 82, passed away at TerraBella Summerville on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Janet was born in Catskills, New York on June 28, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Charlotte Rockefeller Yannone. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Catskills, NY. Janet married William "Bill" Burnsed August 8, 1980. They resided in Summerville, SC. Bill predeceased Janet on July 6, 2018. Janet worked for Chellis and Frampton Law Offices as a paralegal in Summerville, SC until retirement. Janet "Mimi" and Bill "Pop" enjoyed fishing, vacations to Myrtle Beach and Diet Coke. They enjoyed spending time together while "people watching" at McDonald's, Fazoli's and the Mall. They will always be remembered as "Mimi" and "Pop" by their extended family. The holidays, trips and special moments will be treasured. Janet loved taking walks through her neighborhood, sitting on porches with friends, and spending time with Fluffy the "cat".

Janet enjoyed playing games on her IPad. She never missed a game of Bingo. She was loved by all the nurses, caregivers and residents while spending her last years at TerraBella.

Janet is survived by her sister-in-law Linda (Martin) Yannone, eighteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She also loved her extended family "The Bruno's" (Michael, Christina, Chase, Sydney, and Ryan). In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was predeceased by her siblings, Doris (Lionel, Frenchy) Alix, Joan (John Surrano), Albert Jr. (Sonny) (Tina McGiffert, Gloria Young), John Yannone (Gloria Moore), Tommy Yannone.

Janet's Celebration of Life will be held in Catskill, New York.
