In Loving Memory of Stephen Richard Jeffery
Stephen Richard Jeffery, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born on August 3, 1946, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Stephen lived a life marked by courage, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He proudly served his country for 22 years—four years in the United States Marine Corps followed by 18 years in the United States Navy. A veteran of both the Vietnam War and the Desert Storm conflict, he served with honor and carried that same sense of duty throughout his life.
Above all else, Stephen was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He found joy in spending time with his family and cherished the relationships he built over the years. His curiosity about the world never faded, and he loved reading and learning about an endless variety of topics. Whether enjoying a game of pool or sharing stories and laughter with friends, Stephen appreciated the simple pleasures of life and the company of those he cared about.
Stephen was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Jeffery, and his former wife, Kay.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Julie; his son-in-law, Alan; his grandsons, Alan and Connor; his granddaughter, Destiny; and his great-granddaughter, Charlotte, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Stephen leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, service, and strength. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast devotion to those he loved will continue to inspire all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
