Theresa A Prospero

Theresa Prospero, of Summerville, SC,  passed away on Friday March 27, 2026 at the age of 85.  To our family, she was a constant guide, a source of comfort, humor and unconditional love. Even to strangers, she gave away smiles freely.

Theresa grew up in Buffalo, NY before meeting and marrying Angelo Prospero. The couple resided in Rochester, NY and Summerville, SC.  Despite moving away from Western NY, Theresa was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills. She was an avid reader, enjoyed travel, going to the movies, garage sales and adored our family pets, especially her Pomeranian, Phoebe. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Angelo Prospero. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Andre) Lesage of Summerville, SC and Andrea (Aaron) West of Columbia, SC, along with other family members and devoted friends.

It was Theresa's wishes to have no services. Friends and family wishing to honor Theresa are invited to make a contribution to Keeper of the Wild (wildlife rescue in Walterboro, SC) or any other animal rescue or shelter.
