Gloria Tuten Edwards

Gloria Tuten Edwards went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2026. She put her trust in the Lord Jesus at an early age and lived in His Love and care to the end.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur E. Tuten and Evelyn Rogers Tuten of Charleston, SC.

Gloria was born on September 11, 1950, in Erwin, North Carolina. She lived most of her life in Charleston, SC, and graduated from Middleton High School where she later returned as a teacher. She received her Bachelor's Degree from The Baptist College of Charleston (Charleston Southern University) and earned her Master’s Degree from The Citadel. Gloria’s teaching career was spent here in the Lowcountry and she retired from West Ashley High School where she taught in the Business Department. Gloria attended Seacoast Church, West Ashley Campus.
