Bruce Alan Declercq
September 3, 1963 — April 16, 2026
On the morning of April 16, 2026, Bruce DeClercq passed away. Bruce was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he grew up and learned many skills before meeting his wife and moving to South Carolina.
Bruce was a talented welder for many companies in the area, and enjoyed helping his friends build boats. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in general having a great time. He shared his talents in the kitchen and other unique traits of his with his friends that have left a lasting impression on their hearts.
Bruce is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Josh), his sister, Linda (Pat), brother, Robert (Susan), and various nieces, nephews, and cousins across the country. He is predeceased by his parents, Al & Gracie DeClercq, sister, Alice Rich, and wife, Toni DeClercq. Bruce will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he’s touched.
There will be no formal service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local addiction recovery programs in his honor.
A thought of comfort from his daughter: I like to imagine that my father has made it home to his wife’s embrace in Heaven, is enjoying a deep fried turkey and telling hunting stories with his dear friend, Jody Becknell, and enjoying watching over each of us from above. Bruce had his battles in life, but I know he tried his best. This scenario gives me peace, and I hope it brings the rest of his friends and family peace during this time.
