Dolores Nestler
May 15, 1932 — Jun 29, 2026
Dolores "Dee" Nestler, age 94, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. She was a devoted mother and a beautiful example of kindness, strength, and unconditional love.
Born on May 15, 1932, Dolores lived a full and meaningful life centered on faith, family, and love. Her greatest joy was being the mother of five children: Patricia, Sandra, Linda, Debra, and Robert. She poured her heart into raising her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Known affectionately as Mama Dee to those closest to her, Dolores also had a deep love for animals—especially dogs. Over the years, she lovingly raised and cared for several Shelties, a passion that brought her immense joy. She also found great pleasure in watching birds and appreciating the beauty of nature.
Dolores will always be remembered for her generosity, selflessness, gentle spirit, enduring wisdom, and her remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel special. She gave so much of herself to others, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the love, guidance, and countless memories she shared.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Pat) Pope of Ramsey, New Jersey; Sandra (Sandy, and Rick) Lockwood of Lexington, South Carolina; Debra (and Jeff) Owen of Madison, Mississippi; and her son, Robert (Bobby) Nestler of Metairie, Louisiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin Pope, Stephanie Pope, David Lockwood, Nathan Bruno, Eric Michael, Ashley Michael, Kristen Michael, Evan Erwin, and Nicole Wentworth; and by her great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Barnhill, Titus Pope, and Brinnley Pope. She also leaves behind three siblings, John Cofano of Pittsburgh PA, Antionette (Toni) McDonough of Memphis, TN, and Daniel Cofano of New Smyrna Beach, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob J. Nestler, and her daughter, Linda Michael
Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the example she set will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1461 Pisgah Church Road, Lexington SC 29072.
