Gwendolyn Morton Carroll, 65, of Norway, South Carolina passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 13, 1959, in Newport News, VA, Gwen lived a life rooted in devotion—to her family, her work, and the beauty of the natural world. She spent many years as a dedicated property manager and landscaper, working side-by-side with her beloved husband, Randy Carroll. Their work was more than just a job—it was a shared passion that allowed Gwen to stay close to what she loved most: the outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Randy Carroll; her children, Chad Carroll (Kelley) of Vero Beach, Florida, Chastity Carroll-Brown (Chris) of Rose Hill, North Carolina, and Jeremy Carroll of Vero Beach, Florida; and her cherished grandchildren: Morgan, Pressley, Harper, Daniel, Xander, Logan, and Rayne. She also leaves behind her sister, Saundra Fort (David), and their children, Chris and Jennifer, along with four grandchildren; and her brother, Dwayne Morton (Peggy), and their children, Michael, Jason and Shawn and grandchildren.

Gwen was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Morton.

A gifted gardener and nature enthusiast, Gwen found her greatest joy in the simple things—digging in the dirt, watching things grow, and taking quiet trips to the mountains. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Gwen’s life will be held, at 2:00 p.m. on August 2, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church, 3705 Cope Rd., Cope, SC.  All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor the life of a woman who gave so much of herself to those around her.

Gwen will be remembered for her quiet strength, her love for her family, and the beauty she nurtured in the world around her. She will be deeply missed.
