Michael Stuart Reid

Michael Stuart Reid passed away on December 7, 2025, in Prosperity, South Carolina. He was 39 years old.

Born on May 21, 1986, in Columbia, South Carolina, Michael lived a life marked by faith and service. Guided by his belief in God, he carried his convictions with quiet strength throughout his life.

Michael served honorably in the United States Army as a Specialist. His military service included a deployment to Afghanistan, where he demonstrated courage and dedication in challenging circumstances.

Outside of his service, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. He also had a fondness for dogs and cars—interests that brought him comfort and happiness.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Patricia Reid; his sisters, Elizabeth Yturria and Amy Schaming; and his nieces, Sophia Yturria and Christina Singletary. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert Reid, and his brother-in-law, Gabriel Yturria.
