Shirley Lee Jaques Vogel

Shirley Lee Jacques Vogel, age 86, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 2, 2025.

She was a beacon of light touching many lives with her kindness, compassion and love.

Shirley retired as a claims adjuster for The State Accident Fund. Her work ethic was impeccable and co-workers admired her abilities.

She found joy in reading, nature and the most important and favorite enjoyment to her was spending time with her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her husband,  William D. Vogel, her daughter, Jeanie H. Rosier, granddaughter, Elizabeth H. Britt, grandson, Stephen B. Rosier (Jordyn McGee), great- grandsons,  Bentley, Emmett, Logan and great-granddaughters, Saylor, Carson and Parker, brother, Tony Jacques (Patricia) and sister, Charlene Hoffman (Stacy) as well as many nieces, nephews and their children.

Shirley was the oldest of six children. Her heart was full of love for her siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 1541 Lake Murray Blvd, Columbia, SC 29212.

Donations to the Kidney Foundation are welcome in lieu of flowers.
