Lee was born in Port Gibson, MS to the late Crockett and Charity Walker on December 3, 1944 and departed this life on April 13th, 2025. He joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in 1967 and married his wife Betty that same year. He went on to serve the church in several ways as an Usher, Trustee, Spiritual Advisor, and Deacon.

Lee worked as an Electrician and was recently acknowledged for 50+ years with the IBEW (Local 110) with his longest post at the Metropolitan Council for 25 years. Lee led a very active life while living in Saint Paul, MN. Lee supported the community as a compassionate landlord, loving foster parent (20+ years), and mentor to so many.

Lee served in the Army during the Vietnam was until his Honorable discharge after being wounded and receiving a Purple Heart. He returned home and went on to support Veterans Affairs through several organizations. He volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans Minnesota Chapter 2 and served as a Past Commander, Trustee, and Judge Advocate just to name a few. He also volunteered with the VFW and American Legion being recognized by many groups like Last Man Standing for his service and work for Veterans.

His homegoing celebration will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, Visitation at 5pm and Funeral Service at 6pm. He will be Interned at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with Military Honors.
