Jeanette Dean Smith

Jeanette Dean Smith, 93, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on July 1, 2026. She was born on June 27, 1933, in Winter Haven, Florida to Willie R. and Bessie Waters. She was a banker and started her career in 1951 at Bank of Lake Alfred and retired from BBT in 2014 at age 81 after 63 years. She was co-owner of Lake Alfred Pharmacy. She was preceded in death by her first husband Allen Dean. Jeanette is survived by her husband Dennis Smith, daughters Janice Richmond and Judy "Muffin" Tindell (Harry), stepson Joseph JD Smith (Danielle), grandchildren Jennifer Foster (Shane), Lindsay McCoy (Jim), Jack "Bear" Richmond (Stephanie), great grandchildren Ashlyn Foster, Kara Foster, Lucas McCoy, Kyle McCoy, Garrison Richmond, and Easton Richmond.

A visitation will be held on July 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Steele's Family Funeral Services with a graveside service following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Alfred.
