K. Emily Jean Foster, an inspiring soul whose life was as vibrant as the open skies she loved to soar, she went to be with her Savior on December 31, 2024, in Eagle, Idaho. Born on April 30, 2001, in Glendale, CA, Emily's journey through life was marked by boundless enthusiasm, an insatiable quest for knowledge, and an ever-present kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Emily's academic pursuits led her to the prestigious United States Air Force Academy, where she majored in Geospatial Sciences. Her passion for aviation was reflected in her role as a Soaring Instructor Pilot, where she not only demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication but also inspired and mentored her peers and aspiring aviators. Her impact at the Academy will continue to be celebrated by those who had the privilege of flying alongside her. Deeply cherished by her parents, Jeremy and Cheryl Foster, and her brothers, Daniel and Micah, to both of whom she was their best friend. Emily was a source of infinite pride. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering kindness defined her character and endeared her to everyone she met. Her remarkable personality made her a beacon of positivity, illuminating the lives of family and friends. To honor Emily's memory and celebrate her extraordinary life, a series of commemorative events have been planned. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, ID. Following this, a Celebration of Life will be hosted on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa in Santa Ana, CA. Additionally, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the USAF Academy in Colorado. Emily's passing leaves a profound void, yet her spirit continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have shared moments of her life. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and dreams as boundless as the sky will forever be remembered. May her memory soar eternally in the hearts of all who loved her.
