Henry Joseph Danecki

March 13, 1939 — April 1, 2026

Henry Joseph Danecki ( 3/13/39 – 4/1/26 ) entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to those who were fortunate to know him. Born in Bolechow, Poland, the family was forcibly resettled to the western town of Gliwice in the aftermath of World War II. Henry attended music school, as well as industrial engineering school. He was a lifelong learner with many diplomas and certificates along with many honors. After he completed his compulsory military service, he traveled with a band and started seeking opportunities abroad.

He proposed to Teresa Gnoinska, whom he knew from music school, under the Eiffel Tower, and they resettled in New Britain, CT., where they married. Henry served as conductor of the Polonia-Paderewski Choir until they headed for sunshine and beaches in Apollo Beach, FL. He continued to work in industrial engineering and also performed with his wife at local venues. He loved to play violin, saxophone, clarinet, and guitar to name a few. He also loved swimming, fishing, boxing, cycling, and soccer. He was adventurous and loved to travel. He was an outdoor soul, with a musical spirit.

Henry was a devout Catholic. This was the centerpiece of his life. Whatever the season, it revolved around the church and his relationship with God. Music was all around. He shared this with his wife and children. He performed, recorded, studied, and even worked on any instruments, including restoration and tuning. He was an engineer that could fix just about anything mechanical, electronic, construction, and those who knew him or had to work on something he built years later would call it “henrified.” The earth could fail, but Henry’s work would still remain.

He was known for his steady presence, strong values, and unwavering commitment to family and friends. He lived his life with purpose, integrity, generosity, tenacity, and humility, always willing to lend a hand, play a concert, or offer thoughtful advice. Those closest to him will remember his caring heart, his sense of responsibility, his joking nature, his ability to catch you on video, and the care he showed in both words and actions.

Family was at the center of Henry’s life. He took great pride in being there for the people he loved, and cherished time spent together, whether during everyday moments or special gatherings. His guidance, work ethic, and kindness shaped the lives of many and will continue to do so through the memories he leaves behind. Henry’s life was defined not only by what he did, but by who he was — a dependable, caring, and honorable man. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

Henry Joseph Danecki was predeceased by his beloved wife, Teresa Danecki, and is survived by his loving family, including his children, Marzena (Micheal) Coughlin and Andrew (Cynthia) Danecki; his grandchildren Elizabeth and Noah Coughlin, Ethan, Gavin, and Ava Danecki; his sisters; and many nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends who loved him deeply and will continue to honor his memory and carry forward the values he lived by.

A Funeral Mass will be held on April 17, 2026 @ 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, Ruskin, with interment following at Ruskin Memorial Park.
