 January 16, 1943 – 2026 

 Janet Margil Hough  , age 83, passed away peacefully in Sun City Center, Florida. A woman of great faith, dedication, and heart, Janet leaves behind a legacy of service to her community and an unwavering love for her family.

 A Life of Purpose and Connection 

Born at Dover General Hospital in Dover, New Jersey, Janet was raised in Randolph and remained a proud New Jerseyan at heart for much of her life. She earned her Associate Degree from the County College of Morris, which launched a successful, lifelong career in office administration. Her professional journey eventually led her to Florida, where she worked in Accounts Payable for Covanta Energy and, most recently, provided compassionate care support for Home Instead of Wimauma.

Janet’s life was defined by her active spirit. A  50-plus-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star  , she embodied the values of charity and kindness. She was a dedicated parishioner at the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center and was a familiar, friendly face in her neighborhood, never missing her daily walks with friends.

 Family Reunited and Remembered 

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband,  Patrick J. Hough  ; her three children,  Mary, Lisa Ann, and Patrick “Rick” Francis Hough  ; her parents, Gilbert E. and Margaret C. Johnson; and her brother, Warner Johnson.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by those she leaves behind:

  •  Daughter:  Lauren Gill and her husband, Timothy, of Columbia, NJ.
  •  Grandchildren:  Jessica Borbon (Miguel) of Stillwater, NJ, and Jason Milliron (Ashley) of Roxbury, NJ.
  •  Great-Grandchildren:  Stella and Summer Milliron; Noah and Naomi Borbon.
  •  Siblings:  Her sister, Sandra Perla (Gene) of PA, and her brother, Bruce Johnson (Marcy) of NJ.
  •  Sister-in-Law:  Joan Johnson of Andover, NY.
  •  Extended Family:  12 nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Janet dearly.

 Services and Memorials 

In accordance with Janet’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

 In Lieu of Flowers: 

The family kindly requests that donations be made in Janet’s honor to organizations she held dear:

  •  Autism Awareness 
  •  Special Olympics 
  •  Military Service Support Organizations 

Janet will be remembered for her resilience, her professional integrity, and the simple joy she found in being with family and good friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
