Lorraine F Rings
February 14, 1928 — April 5, 2026
Rings, Lorraine Elizabeth (Foster) passed peacefully at her home in Florida on 4/5/2026. Lorraine was born on February 14th, 1928. She was 98 years old. Lorraine was raised on a farm south of Cass Lake, MN. She had eight siblings and three half siblings. Lorraine was the last remaining sibling.
Lorraine graduated high school in 1947. She married Paul Jung in 1951. Paul and Lorraine adopted baby Stephen in 1960. Lorraine married Richard Stone in 1978. Richard passed in 1982. Lorraine married Roy Wilson Rings in 1995. Roy passed in 2011. Steven passed on 4/5/2026.
Lorraine is survived by step-sons, special step-daughter Cynthia and many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Lorraine had many passions. Family Genealogy was one of them. She thoroughly enjoyed the research and ancestral documentation. Her older brother told her once “My God, those people are dead, leave them alone”. That never stopped her. She traveled the world looking for answers to her many questions of her family’s heritage.
Lorraine’s employment throughout the years consisted of secretarial, bookkeeping, treasurer and office management, just a few of the many responsibilities she mastered. She was also a real estate sales associate in the mid 90’s.
Shortly after Lorraine and Roy were married, they migrated to Palmetto, Florida where she once again remained active in her employment and volunteer work with Shadowbrook Park where they resided.
In September of 2005, Lorraine and her husband Roy moved to Kings Point, Sun City Center, Florida. She headed the computer committee for the Ladies Kings Point Golf League. She did the weekly pairing, score cards and posting of schedules and then entered the results to the internet. And yes, Lorraine enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
Lorraine volunteered her time to several places including the responsibility of the Processor for Prince of Peace Catholic Church and also volunteered for their Gift Shop. From 2014 and on she would volunteer to bring communion every Saturday to the Cypress Creek Residence Center Catholic residents. She also led the Rosary there once a month.
A Funeral Mass will be held on April 21, 2026 at 10:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Florida.
Lorraine will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery, Cass Lake, MN.
