Virginia Ann Brown

Virginia Ann Brown, born on August 14, 1938, in Grenada, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. She lived a long, blessed life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family. Virginia was Baptist and carried her faith with her throughout her 87 years, guiding her with strength, grace, and compassion.

Mom was married to our father for 60 years, standing by his side through 21 years of Air Force service, raising four sons, and keeping our home strong.

Virginia survived by her four sons, Ken (Jan), Tim (Carrie), Chris (Beverly), and Kevin (Susan). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Eight grandchildren and Twelve great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on through each of them.

Mom and Dad shared a love for seeing the world. Together, they took over thirty-two cruises, traveling, exploring, and enjoying life. Those trips were some of their happiest times, and Mom loved talking about the places they visited and the memories they made.

She will be joining our father Jerry H Brown at the Sarasota National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with honor. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on May 13th at 11:00 a.m.

Virginia’s life was a testament to faith, resilience, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.
