Florence F. Gustafson

Florence F. Gustafson, 84, passed away on October 8th, 2024, at The Fraser Heath Center on Hilton Head Island, SC. Florence was born on March 7th, 1940, to Florence and Paul Fitzsimmons. She resided in Pittsburgh, PA for 59 years.

In 1953, Florence met Scott Gustafson at a church youth group and that’s where the adventure truly started. Then, in 1962, Florence and Scott were married. Florence chose to be a homemaker, mother, and wife. Florence made many lasting friendships with those she met throughout her life. 

Upon Scott’s retirement in 1999, the two moved to South Carolina and made Hilton Head Island (Sea Pines) their home. Florence loved her family, especially going to the beach for walks and looking at the ocean and playing beach games. She also loved putting together jigsaw puzzles, reading and playing the occasional game of Bridge. She especially enjoyed the annual trips to Key West and the October Road Trips.

Florence is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Scott A. Gustafson. Her son Guy Paul and daughter Kristin F. Gustafson, 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
