Jack L. Tribble died on September 4,, 2022, in Bluffton, South Carolina. He was 79.
Jack was born to Carl and Ann Tribble on September 28, 1942. He grew up in Idaho Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University, earning a B.S., M.S., & Ph.D. in Microbiology. Later, he earned a law degree from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. While in law school, he began working in the Patent Department of Merck & Co. in Rahway, NJ, retiring 20 years later as Senior Patent Counsel. He lived in Montclair, NJ for over 30 years.
Jack was a family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and tinkering around the house. He was a devoted father who enjoyed attending his son’s hockey games and teaching his daughter about photography. In addition, Jack was an avid skier and tennis player. He was a kind soul who always had an ear to listen. Jack retired with his beloved wife to Cape Cod, MA, in 2015, where they enjoyed summers and falls in their Wellfleet home and winters and springs on Hilton Head Island.
Jack is survived by Margaret, his wife of 51 years; his son, Matt; his daughter, Heidi; and Ella, the family’s beloved yellow Labrador.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
