# In Loving Memory of Johanna Mueller

Johanna Mueller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Born on May 1, 1939, in the charming town of Aystetten, Germany, Johanna's journey was one of remarkable strength and unwavering devotion to her family.

 ## A Fateful Dance

In the post-war years, life was challenging for Johanna and her family, as it was for many in Germany. Yet, in those times of hardship, destiny had a plan. A chance meeting at a dance hall with a fellow German, Johann Mueller, would forever change the course of her life. Johann, having emigrated to the United States and become a proud US citizen, found himself back in Germany, where fate would bring him and Johanna together in a twist of irony. Despite a comedic misunderstanding involving a friend's girlfriend, their paths crossed again in Augsburg. Their love story, filled with laughter and resilience, led them across the ocean to Long Island, New York, where they would build a new life together.

 ## A Life of Dedication

Together, Johanna and Johann created a loving home and raised three wonderful children: Andrew Mueller and his wife Emiko, Karin Kirincic and her husband Dennis, and Diane Wolfkiel and her husband Bob. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Chelsea, and her spouse Jon, Daria, and Gabriella, who will forever carry her spirit forward.

Johanna was a woman of many talents. She and Johann owned the beloved Krisch’s restaurant in Massapequa, NY, where her warmth and hospitality touched the hearts of many. Later in life, in the sunny landscapes of Florida, Johanna embarked on a new career with the Department of Revenue, where her mathematical prowess and keen sense of detail shone brightly.

## A Woman of Warmth and Wit

Johanna could always be relied upon to know what was happening around her. Her laughter was infectious, her jokes delightful, and her strength unyielding. A creative spirit, she excelled in the kitchen, crafting delicious meals and baked goods from scratch, much to the delight of her family and friends.

Johanna's zest for life extended into her retirement years in Ocala, Florida, where she and Johann enjoyed countless rounds of golf, lively card games, and cherished friendships. Her laughter and wisdom will be deeply missed by her sister, Gilda Richter; her nieces, Michael Whitman and Nadja Traub; and her brother-in-law, Gerhard Mueller, with his wife, Renate, and their children.

Johanna is preceded in death by her husband, Johann; brother, Manfred Schuller; brother-in-law, Dieter; and her father and mother, Albert and Viktoria Schuller.

## A Final Resting Place

The family will honor Johanna at a committal service at Beaufort National Cemetery on March 20 at 1 PM. The brief outdoor service will be a time to celebrate her life and legacy as she is laid to rest alongside her beloved Johann, a testament to their enduring love.

Johanna Mueller's life was a tapestry of love, strength, and laughter. Her indomitable spirit and the love she shared with her family and friends continue to inspire all who knew her. As we remember her, let us carry forward her legacy of joy and resilience.
