Robert William Wolfe
Feb 4, 1952 — Jun 14, 2026
Robert William Wolfe February 4, 1952 – June 14, 2026
Robert William Wolfe, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Jamaica, New York, Robert spent his high school years in Cleveland, Ohio, before earning both his Bachelor's degree and MBA from Miami University of Ohio, an accomplishment he carried with great pride throughout his life. He spent much of his adult life in Cincinnati, Ohio, before he and his wife, Jennifer, made their home on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina five years ago, a place he loved deeply and called his own. He took particular joy in the garden they built together and the beauty of the trees surrounding their home. Throughout his life, he cherished his many dogs as a member of the family.
Known to everyone who loved him as Wolfie, Robert was larger than life in every sense of the word. He had a gift for making people feel genuinely seen, asking the personal question no one else would think to ask, and somehow making it the most charming thing in the room. He was the life of every gathering, and those who knew him well understood that a party done Wolfe style was something you never forgot.
Robert was a natural entrepreneur who spent more than 45 years building and running businesses, beginning with Val-Pak franchise operations and Reach Magazine, and spanning commercial real estate investment and beyond. For the second half of that journey, he worked side by side with his wife, Jennifer, building and growing a law firm, a consulting firm, and a luxury spa in Hilton Head. He approached every venture and every challenge with intelligence, optimism, and genuine interest in the people around him. His advice always came with your best interest at heart.
In his final weeks, Robert returned from a long-awaited family trip to Italy filled with joy. Those who saw him said he was at his best, grateful, happy, and looking forward.
Robert is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Jennifer C. Wolfe; his four children, Robert Wolfe (Leslie), Ryan Wolfe (Robin), Katie Wolfe (Jackson), and Jack Wolfe; his grandchildren, Madelyn, Emery, Teddy, Rupert, Miles, and Eleanor; his siblings, Tom Wolfe (Linda), Mary Russotti, and Elizabeth Medina; and his sister-in-law, Noel Wolfe, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Philip Wolfe.
He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
The family is privately grieving this sudden loss. A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date, likely this fall.
