Delbert Patrick Wait, born January 4, 1955, in Pueblo, Colorado, passed away suddenly on June 17, 2025. He was one of 15 children born o Melvin and Wauneta Wait, who preceded him in death.
Delbert was a Navy Veteran and long time fireman in the Fort Carson Colorado Fire Department. He enjoyed life, traveling, woodworking, and had a strong relationship with God.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Wait of Jesup, Georgia; his sons, Dennis (Nicole) Wait, Seth (Pamela) Wait, and Patrick (Cristine) Wait; grandchildren, Braden Wait, Elliot Wait, Bryan Wait, Xavier Wait, Sabrina Wait, Shawna Williams (Jesup), and Michael Morrison (Jesup); great-grandchildren, Kaden Williams (Jesup), Bristol Williams (Jesup); and a large number of beloved family members.
Delbert brought joy to everyone he met and will be greatly missed. Per his request, there will be no service at this time.
