Edna Louise Clymer
February 15, 1950 — March 11, 2020
On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, Edna Louise Clymer-Pitt, a wife and mother of two passed away at the age of 70. Edna was born February 15, 1950 in Garden City, Kansas. She was an active member of the Encore group at the Sunnyside Christian Church of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Edna was raised in Satanta, Kansas and later attended college at the Oklahoma Panhandle State University and earned her teaching degree. With her teaching degree, she later decided she would rather pinch the kids' heads off instead of teaching them. She spent the last twenty-five years as a medical biller in Colorado Springs. Edna had a goofy spirit; she loved to make people around her laugh. It would not be totally unexpected for her to do something silly such as dancing on the table at her fiftieth class reunion or dress like an elf or cave man for various parties. She liked to express herself with her purple hair and colorful nails, which her family and friends grew to love. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren she was known as Gigi and to her nieces and nephews she was Aunt Weezy. Her parents preceded Edna in death, Walter and Elma Clymer; and a brother, Elmer Clymer. She is survived by her husband, Steve Pitt, Sr. of twenty-two years; daughters, Cynthia Overeem and Kellie Davis; sister, Bernice Clymer; and Brother, Marion Clymer. She also has twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; nieces, Diane Nicholson and Marsha Carpenter; and nephews, Charlie Clymer and Matthew Clymer; and Steve's children, Steven, Jarl and Keli.
