Inez Velma Nelson
February 19, 1935 — May 24, 2025
Inez V. Nelson entered into Eternal Life on Saturday May 24, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 90. Born Feb 19, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Edna (Pender) Taylor and Walter Taylor.
Inez retired from Milwaukee County, where she served as a dedicated dispatcher in the police department. She had a passion for life's simple joys. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, and watching crime shows. She found peace in gardening and great joy in family gatherings. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Wisconsin Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Edna Taylor; brother Edward Taylor; sons Kenneth and Richard Nelson and her grandson Joseph Nelson.
She is survived by her sons Stephen and Glen Nelson, daughters Cynthia (Jim) Bonkowski and Ruthann (Domingo) Ruiz, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her sister Suzanne Taylor, brother Jeffery Taylor, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Her warmth, humor, and love for her family will be remembered and cherished always.
Funeral Service for Inez Nelson will take place June 27th, 2025, 10am located at Saint Aldabert Cemetery (3801 South 6th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53221)
Following that a Funeral Service for Richard Nelson will take place the same day June 27th , 2025 at 3pm located at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182)
A Celebration of Life for Inez, Richard and Kenneth Nelson will take place the following day June 28th ,2025 12-5pm at the Naga-Waukee Park *picnic area 5* (651 WI-83, Hartland, WI 53029).Please note that if you do not have a Waukesha County Park Pass, there will be a fee of $7 per car to enter the park.
