Joe Malacara

Dr. Joe Malacara aka: Pastor Joe was born July 4, 1935. He was ushered into Heaven on May 31, 2011 by Pastor Nicky Cruz. Pastor Joe was a native of Colorado Springs. He served in the United States Marine Corp from February 1954 to February 1956. He went into the ministry in February 1961 and celebrated 50 years in the ministry in February 2011.He married his wife Isabel Padilla on June 30, 1957. They had four children; Judy Trujillo, Johnny (Tammy), Connie (DeeDee) Malacara, Elizabeth (Phil) Negrette of Colorado Springs. Grandchildren; Valerie Abeyta, Allen Trujillo, Damita, Rudy, Emelio Negrette, Raelynn Malacara. Great-grandchildren Andres, Arianna, Alejandro Abeyta , Olivia and Xavier Trujillo. He was preceded in death by his father, Trinidad & mother, Guadalupe Malacara, brothers, Johnny, Albert, Richard Malacara of Colorado Springs, and Joe Parades of Amarillo Texas. Remaining brothers Daniel, Jacob, Alfred Malacara and sister Margaret Bustamante of Colorado Springs.Visitation will be from 4:00PM–6:00PM on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue.There will be two funeral services, one Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 7:00PM at Iglesia de Gloria Sion Church, 3077 S. Academy Blvd and the second on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10:00AM at Iglesia de Gloria Sion Church, burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S.
