Juanita Rosalie Generally Woods Rucker was born March 14, 1928 on a farm near St. Clair, Missouri. She was the first child born to the union of Elmer Q. Generally and Vauda Manuel. She died July 30, 2018 in Colorado Springs. She attended first grade in Indiana before moving back to Missouri for the second grade, and then to Terre Haute, Indiana for the third grade through high school. She graduated from Gerstmeyer Tech High School in 1946, in the top ten of her class and received the National Honor Certificate Award.She moved to Colorado Springs in 1946 for a short time, then to St. Louis, Missouri for two years. In 1948 she moved back to Colorado Springs to live the remainder of her life. She attended El Paso Community College and Midwest Business College for Accounting, Data Processing, and Key Punch. Later she attended Pikes Peak Community College for nursing classes. She worked most of her life as a nurse aide in private homes and also did housekeeping. In her later years, she was known to the people in her neighborhood as "Granny". She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; two sons, Gene Michael and Andre Gene Pierre "Peter" Woods; and brother, Bernard Generally. She is survived by sons, Patric and Timothy (Katrina) Rucker of Colorado Springs; daughters, Teresa (Bill) Generally of Alton, Illinois and Candice McKnight of Colorado Springs; daughter-in-law Lillian Woods of University City, Missouri; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; along with relatives and friends.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 7, 2018, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.Inurnment, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
