Linda Jane McKeever, 56, died May 3, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She was born June 26, 1964 in Washington D.C. to Thomas E. and Eileen Jane (Gowe) Shields.Linda graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a BS in computer science. She had a very varied working career, including working as a software developer for Computer Sciences Corporation in Germany on U.S. Military contracts. She was also Business Manager/Registrar for Collegium Study Center of Colorado Springs, and in human resources for Young Life Ministries.Linda had a deep faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior that was her foundation of strength and hope in her life. She was a member of Village Seven Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs and served with her husband in a variety of ministries.She had a great love of her children, husband and grandchild and was kind and encouraging to others. Linda was very hospitable and would often welcome others into her home. She loved music, dogs and flowers.Linda was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Shields.She is loved by her husband, John William McKeever of Colorado Springs; daughters, Lauren Victoria (Joshua) Mote and Sarah Olivia MacDougall, both of Colorado Springs; grandson, Gabriel Andrew Mote; mother, Eileen Jane Shields of Columbia, Maryland; sister, Karen Dellinger of Maryland; brother, Timothy Shields of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation, 2:00PM-3:30PM and 4:00PM-5:30PM, Sunday, May 9, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.Attendees will be capped at 100 people and masks/facial coverings are required.Celebration of Life, 10:00AM, Monday, May 10, 2021, Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917.Private Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda's memory may be made in to either: Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4055 South Nonchalant Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80917, (719) 574-6700, (https://www.v7pc.org/give-now) or Young Life Ministries, (https://giving.younglife.org/s/LindaMcKeeverMemorial), click on the green button to designate to Pikes Peak Region.
