Michael Young

Michael "Whitey" Young passed away on March 11, 2021 at the age of 79.Michael served in the Army for two years to help support his mother and siblings. He drove a limo/taxi in New York, where he drove many famous people, including Jackie Kennedy and her children. Michael retired from driving buses at the Air Force Academy, where he enjoyed transporting the cadets to various venues.He was a runner and ran the Pikes Peak marathon three times, the last time when he was 60. He loved driving, camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.Michael is survived by his wife; three sisters; a brother; six children; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends. He will be greatly missed and the family appreciates all who have shown their love during this difficult time.A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
