Caroline Rae Capone

Jan 6, 2014 — May 18, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Caroline Rae Capone, age 12, who left us far too soon on May 18, 2026. Born in Denver, Colorado on January 6, 2014, Caroline brought immeasurable joy and light to our lives. She will forever be remembered for her infectious laughter and enjoyable sarcasm. Her passion, dedication, and perfectionist spirit towards her art. The excitement that filled her eyes when she shared songs and musicals that she newly loved, and the way she would sing and dance in the back seat of her parents cars. Caroline cared deeply for her friends and family, often showing it by picking on them, but God help you if you picked on someone she loved... She would defend anyone in her circle with a fire that couldn't be contained. She gave the best hugs that could cure any sadness. But the thing that we will miss the most is her tremendously BIG heart. She loved with every ounce of herself. Those that truly knew Caroline saw this often.

Caroline is fiercely loved and will forever be missed by her parents, Eric Capone and Shannon Rae Friesen; Bonus parents, Jason Friesen and Chelsea Cote-Sehmann; Her siblings, Nicholas Ketsdever, Brandon Ketsdever, Benjamin Friesen, Natalia Friesen, Elenor Ketsdever, and Margo Friesen; Grandparents, Tamaria Baker (Nana), Jean and Matthew Friesen (Oma and Opa), John and Lisa Capone (Grandpa and Grandma), Larry and Linda Spahr (Papa and Mimi); Her Aunties and Uncles, Christina Riley, Stephanie Friesen and Mateo Hernandez, Andrew and Tiffany Capone, David and Madison Capone, Krystal Spahr and Ian Cook, and Bryan and Stephanie Woodke. And a whole crew of cousins. Aubrey Riley, Matthew and Joseph Clark, Rae-Lyn, Sydney, Alexander and Thomas Capone, Layla and Grayson Cook, and Devon, Sophie, Hailey, and Roman Woodke. Proceeded in death by her Papaw, Michael Riley.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd, 12:15am at Springs Funeral Services 3115 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80909
