Clara Bell Densmore

Clara Bell (Miller) Densmore passed away on April 3, 2026.

She was 88. Born to Harlin R. and Lael I. (Kellogg) Miller at home in Woods County, Oklahoma on February 7, 1938. Clara graduated from Capron High School in Oklahoma in1956. Clara met her future husband, Jim Densmore, at First Christian Church after moving to Colorado Springs after graduation. After a short engagement they were married on December 28, 1956. Clara worked as a food service worker at West Jr. High School, Helen Hunt Elementary and Cheyenne Mountain High School.

Clara enjoyed sewing for her family, knitting, embroidery and a good game of domino’s with friends and family. Clara passed on her love of games to her children and grandchildren. As a family, they camped in the Colorado mountains, visited family and friends on road trips to many states and built a cabin near Divide, Colorado. Clara retired with Jim to their cabin and enjoyed the wildlife in the mountains and playing cards with their close friends and neighbors. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands in March of 2007.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Densmore, her parents, her sisters, Gail Miller and Alice Freeman, her brothers, Mack Miller and Delos Law. Clara is survived by their daughter, Sandra (Alan) Mowers; son, Brad (Karen) Densmore; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces; Sharon Durbin, Glenda Voniak, Sheila Sealander and nephews; Randy Miller and Bart Hanks.
