Dennis Raymond Caldwell

Dennis Caldwell died October 13, 2025, in his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Iowa and graduated from Luther College and the University of Iowa Medical School. He practiced medicine in Colorado Springs for over 40 years. While battling his own medical issues, he found purpose and passion in taking care of others. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman, gifted athlete, and project-oriented “do-it-yourselfer”. He greatly treasured his friendships and enjoyed learning and collaborating with his peers. Dennis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol, his brother, Jay Caldwell, his children Nate, Laura (McCann), DJ, and Tim, and their loving families.

Service will be held at 10am on October 22, 2025, at Ascension Lutheran Church (2505 N. Circle Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80909). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting in-kind donations be made to Ascension Lutheran Church (for social ministries), or to the charity of your choice.
