- John enjoyed deep sea fishing,
- hunting deer and elk with a crossbow or rifle and camping! He cheered for Colorado sports teams: Professional and College.
- He was an environmentalist, recycling EVERYTHING he could to help protect our planet!
- John was a world traveler having gone around the globe many times!
- John worked at NORAD for 3 years. He then lived in Greenland for 5 years, 11 years in Guam, several months on Diego Garcia Island and England, 8 years at Vandenberg AFB in CA. He traveled to these various locations several times, all as a military satellite technician.

- John was a man of faith who loved and served Jesus with a willing heart.
- He had a beautiful spirit that spread peace and joy wherever he was.
- John displayed kindness, caring, generosity, and compassion to everyone he encountered.
- All that knew him said he was forgiving and didn’t hold grudges.
