Lindsey Ann Duncan
February 22, 1985 — July 29, 2023
Lindsey Ann Duncan, “Scooter”, passed on to her eternal reward on July 29, 2023 at age 38 from complications due to COVID. She was a resident of rural Custer County, Colorado, south of Westcliffe.
Lindsey was born at the Air Force Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs on February 22, 1985 to William Tandy III and Roxanne Lydia Duncan. She lived in Colorado Springs until 1995 when her family moved to Hamilton, Alabama. After the passing of both her father and grandfather, William Tandy II, Lindsey moved back to Colorado Springs with her mother and older brother, Michael William Duncan, in 1996. She attended middle and high schools at Colorado Springs Christian School and went on to earn Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in history and education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Lindsey applied her history degrees first to teaching at James Irwin Charter School in Colorado Springs, and later worked at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) creating textbooks for Christian schools.
Lindsey is survived by her mother Roxanne McLean; her step-father Calvin Groenewoud; her brother Michael Duncan; and many extended family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date to be determined.
Her family is asking that in lieu of flowers, to consider a memorial donation to the Foundation for Thymic Cancer Research at thymic.org
