Mark Louis Dyer

Jan 7, 1963 — May 18, 2026

Mark Louis Dyer, 63, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on May 18, 2026, in Colorado Springs.

He was born on January 7, 1963, to Jon & Marilyn Dyer (Quigg) in Lynwood, California. He worked at Atmel/Microchip for 34 years & loved talking “nerd” to his fellow coworkers, friends, and family.

Mark was a son, husband, brother, uncle, dad, papa, and great-grandpapa whose love for his family was evident in all he did. For more than 30 years, he shared his life with his wife, Kelly. They had a bond that remained strong to the end, and those who knew them saw that bond and the banter that went along with it.

He was endlessly curious about space, science, and how things worked, and he could easily spend hours talking and/or teaching about them…whether we wanted to hear about it or not. Turn up the radio, please.

More than anything, Mark treasured the people he loved, and the memories, humor, spiciness, wisdom, and strength he left behind will stay with his friends and family forever.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Jon and Marilyn Dyer, and by his sister, Lisa Dyer, who passed away just four days before him.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 30 years, Kelly Johnson; his brother, Michael Dyer; his children, Hannah Quinlan (Shanna Quinlan), Zebulon Dyer, and Andrew Dyer; his grandchildren, Hope Welch, Grace Abejuela (Stephen Abejuela), Eden Dyer, Felix Dyer, Marlee Jones, and Coretta Jones; and his great-grandson, Kai Abejuela. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date. The family will announce the date, time, and location once arrangements have been finalized.
