Rissa Rene Bowman

Rissa Rene Bowman, born on November 2, 1960, in Colorado Springs, passed away on June 6, 2025, in Elizabeth, Colorado, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Michael P. Bowman for 45 years and devoted mother to Gabrielle and Bronson, as well as a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren. Rissa was a strong and independent woman, known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her passions, which included Zumba, shopping, and dreaming of travel. A graduate of Coronado High School, she built a successful career in HR Benefits, where she led her own team. Rissa was a lifelong baptized Jehovah's Witness who found joy in her faith and community. She is survived by her loving family and was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Geraldine Smith, among others. A funeral service will be held at The Springs Funeral Services.
