Theodore “Ted” Cornell VeggebergDecember 4, 1938 – June 5, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theodore “Ted” Cornell Veggeberg, a loving husband, father, friend, and a man whose strength, kindness, and perseverance left a lasting mark on the lives of those who knew him.
Ted lived a life built on dedication, resilience, and care for the people around him. He faced life’s challenges with courage and showed a determination that reflected the man he was — tough, steady, and full of heart.
Ted had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy and peace in nature, especially through fishing and the time spent outside. Those moments reflected his love for the simple things in life — quiet surroundings, fresh air, and making memories.
To his family, Ted was much more than a father. He was a source of love, wisdom, stories, laughter, and memories that will continue to be cherished. The everyday moments — the conversations, the visits, and the simple routines that connected him with the people he loved — became some of the greatest gifts he gave.
In his final chapter, Ted continued to show the strength that defined him. Even through difficult days, he found ways to connect, share moments, and remind those around him of the importance of being present and appreciating the time we have together.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Dixie; daughter, Barb Negley; son, Ben Veggeberg; son, Michael Eachon; stepdaughter, Julie Brooks; stepdaughter, Joy Henn, and brother, Vern Veggeberg numerous grandchildren and all who were blessed to know and love him. He is preceded in death by his sister, Barba Brott.
Ted will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the lives he touched.
A private graveside service celebrating Ted’s life will be held on July 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Eastonville Cemetery.
In memory of Ted, may we all take time to appreciate the people we love, share our stories, and hold close the moments that matter most.
Dad, your love, your strength, and the memories we made will stay with us forever.
