Lilly V. Kepler

Lilly V. Kepler , 88, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. Born on July 27, 1937, she lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep faith, and a generosity that touched people across the world.

Lilly had a passion for exploring new places and cultures. She traveled to many states and countries, with Israel holding a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed countless cruises filled with adventure and joy. Her faith guided her every step—she loved attending church, serving in ministries, and giving back to her community. Through her charitable work, she sponsored children across the globe, helping to feed, educate, and support them in building brighter futures.

She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Ken Kepler, and carried his memory with her always. Lilly also adored her beloved dog, Smokey, who brought her comfort, companionship, and endless joy.

Lilly’s smile could light up any room. She was gentle, kind, and giving, with a heart that welcomed everyone. She worked hard throughout her life, doing whatever was needed to provide for her family and those she loved.

Lilly is survived by her daughter, Stella Knudsen, and her husband, Dale, along with their children, Michael Knudsen and Brittany Burkett. She is also survived by her daughter, Anita Stevens, and her husband, Bill, and their daughters, Heather Jamison and Kimberly Stevens. Lilly is further survived by her son, Ernest Peña, and five great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her siblings—Rosie Rodriguez, Geneva Mull, Stella Maciel, Dora Manly, Sally Lang, Connie Villareal and Bobbie Villareal—who will continue to cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken, her cherished son, Noe, and her precious grandson, Markus, whose memories remained close to her heart.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Heart of Hospice staff and the dedicated team at The Palmettos at Parklane for their unwavering support, compassion, and exceptional care shown to Lilly and her loved ones. Their kindness and professionalism brought comfort and peace during a difficult time, and their presence will always be remembered with deep appreciation.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Heart of Hospice, located at 7 Technology Circle, Suite 200, Columbia, SC 29203 , in honor of Lilly’s memory and the compassionate care they provide to families in need.

Lilly will be deeply and forever loved and missed.

“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Luke 12:27
