Phyllis W. Cherry

Phyllis W. Cherry, 70, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on June 20, 2026.

Born on January 17, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of Marie Lois Davis and James Paula Williams, Sr.

Phyllis was a devoted fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and found great joy in music, gardening, the mountains and the beach. She was a self-made, hardworking woman whose strength and determination inspired those around her. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her life was a reflection of her deep kindness and loving spirit.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Marshall Wayne Cherry; her siblings, twin brother Phillip Williams (Melinda), Jimmy Williams (Linda), and Janet Lane Williams; her children, Michael Wayne Cherry (Connie) and Michael Wayne Smith, Jr (Marie); her cherished grandchildren, Mikayla Cherry and Jennah Ansaar; and her great-grandson, Aviel Ansaar. She also leaves behind many extended family members.

Phyllis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
