In Loving Memory

West Columbia, SC - Angie went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2025 following a long illness. She was born May 8, 1934 in Horry County, SC to the late George Emerson and Emma Floyd Grainger.

Angie was a long-time member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and the Minnie Shull Circle where she served as a secretary for 35 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, visiting nursing homes, fishing at Lake Murray and the Grainger Mill Pond in Nichols SC where she was born and raised. She had an undeniable passion for gardening. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was giving and also opened her home to many others whom she treated with kindness and compassion.

Angie's passing leaves a void that will always be felt by her family and friends; however, her spirit will continue to live on in the memories and love she shared with everyone. She will be dearly missed, but the legacy of her kindness and love will forever remain in our hearts.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon Neil, son Vernon Ray, four brothers, William "Buddy", Kenneth, George Edward, and Emerson "Waldo" Grainger, and a sister Jerelene Grainger Elliot; is survived by her daughter Pamela Bristow Quick (Kelly), a sister Bonnie Grainger Todd, grandchild, great-grandchildren and her very special friend Bryan Champion, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11AM at Mt Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery in West Columbia, SC, with the Rev. Cynthia Taylor and Rev. Morgan Byars officiating. Soloist, Tom Brunson, will also participate in the service. The family will receive friends after the service.
