Louise Holt Moore

Louise Holt Moore, 91, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 18, 1934, and lived a life marked by dedication to her family, and her work.

Louise retired from the City of Columbia after many years of faithful service. She was known for her strong work ethic, kind heart, and quiet strength. Throughout her life, she treasured time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug Moore; her parents, Richard and Wilma Painter.

Louise is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Beth Duke; her son, Ricky Moore (Boyd Braxton); and her sister, Tally Monroe (Harry, and their sons, Richard, and Randy).

She was a proud grandmother to Allan Kinard (Terrie), Andy Kinard (Holly and their children, Anna, and Eric), and Alex Kinard.

She was also blessed with a great-granddaughter, Ashley Kinard and her children, Fallyn, Ella, and Ophelia. Anna, and Eric.

Her family was the joy of her life and was delighted in watching each new generation grow.

Louise will be remembered for her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and the wisdom she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, great-great-grandchildren, and all who were touched by her kindness and grace.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her life was one of love. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
