Steven Bruce Fowler

Steven Bruce Fowler, 82, of Cayce, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As a beloved husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and friend he will be greatly missed.

Born on May 12, 1944, in Union, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jennings Rufus Fowler and Mabel Adams Fowler Hollingsworth. After graduating from Columbia Bible College in 1968 with a Bible degree, he went on to become Pastor at Grace Chapel in West Columbia, South Carolina, in 1970. He faithfully and lovingly shepherded his congregation and surrounding community for 39 years. He impacted countless lives through his steadfast proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On July 30, 1965 Steve married Nina Charleen Lemaster with whom he built a life and family for the next 60 years. He is survived by his wife Nina, daughter Amy Langley (Adrian), grandchildren, Ruth (Andrew) Thumpston, Lydia, Anna, Katie, Elsie, Miriam, and Bethany, great grandchildren, Ezra, Caleb, and Benaiah. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (the late Nancy) Fowler, and sister, Mary Beth (Scott) Griffin. He was predeceased by his brother, Ted Fowler, and sister, Rita McGhee.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Chapel, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC, 29172 on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Visitation will start at 12:30 PM, with the funeral service at 2 PM. A brief graveside service will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
